In the infant room you will find a wide variety of activities going on. Infants grow and learn at such a fast pace. You will see some children crawling, some sitting and some just starting to lift their heads. The teachers are very excited to announce the very first tooth or the first steps a child takes.
The infant room has a crib room and each child has his or her own crib for the week. Sheets and blankets are cleaned weekly. In addition to the cribs, each child has his or her own shelf in the cupboard for diapers, clothes and wipes.
The infants’ room also has swings: saucers, play mat, various age-appropriate toys, and push toys to aid in those first steps toward walking.
Infants can go for daily walks whenever the weather permits. Strollers are a multi-seated affair, for infants six months and older. The children enjoy the fresh air and sights of our bustling neighborhood, trees and flowers in bloom, or maybe take a little catnap along the way.
