OUR CLASSES

OUR PROGRAMS

INFANTS

Our infant rooms are the most developmentally diverse. You'll find children crawling, walking, or cooing. This age group shows how children can learn and grow at a fast pace. Our infant teachers share in the joy with parents for every milestone, from the first tooth to the first step.

In our infant rooms, each child has their own crib, and we change sheets and blankets weekly. Additionally, each child has their own cubby for extra diapers, clothes, and wipes. We stock our infant rooms with swings, various age-appropriate toys, and play mats to allow your little one to begin to learn and explore.

When the weather permits, we have strollers for infants six months and older to go on walks around the neighborhood. The little ones always enjoy the fresh air and colorful sights while on their walks.

ONES

The one's room is another room where children are developing quickly and is equipped for one-year-olds in any stage of their development. We work on fine and gross motor skills as well as colors, numbers, shapes, sign language, and sensory play. Coloring, playing, and gym time are also on one's daily schedule. The ones take naps on lowered cots which are cleaned daily.

By the age of one, children are just starting to learn words. We focus on enriching language development with stories, and songs, and relating them to sign language they may already know.

Much like the infants, the ones too enjoy a walk around the neighborhood when the weather permits. The children ride in the stroller while teachers point out animals, colors, and sounds pointed out by their teachers.

TWOS

The twos room is fast-paced in order to keep up with the busy toddlers that fill it. In the two’s rooms, children are beginning to express their own opinions and build relationships with their classmates.

This room is always on the move and some of their favorite activities are playing in the gym, singing songs, and painting. They are also beginning to learn language, science, math, and art to prepare for the preschool programs. After these activities the two’s nap on mats which are cleaned daily.

The twos room is also where potty training typically begins. We work hand in hand with parents to follow their potty training plan.

THREES

The threes room is the first phase of our preschool learning. Here children have learning experiences in science, math, language, and art. Art, of course, is the favorite of their daily schedule and the children love to create and explore different crafts.

We offer positive reinforcement in the classrooms and believe that self-expression and self-esteem are very important for the children. The children will visit the gym and play outside when the weather permits which they also really love.

The three’s break from their schedule with a midday nap on mats, which are cleaned daily.

FOURS

The fours room is where Universal Prekindergarten (UPK) and preschool programs take place. Our certified UPK teachers work with the district to ensure your little ones are getting prepared for kindergarten with materials prepped by the district for our Tonawanda location. West Seneca and North Tonawanda run a similar preschool program that we have designed.

They much like the threes work on science, math, language, and art but at a higher level. This age focuses on learning sight words, recognizing letters and numbers, and writing and expressing emotions in a positive way to prepare for kindergarten.

The fours room also provides full day care all year round and they follow a similar schedule to the other rooms in the building, like the other rooms the fours take naps on mats which are cleaned daily.

Summer Camp at CCDC

We are looking forward to another fun-filled summer at CCDC! Much like last summer, we will be going on weekly field trips, having weekly in-house experiences, and a curriculum full of fun activities!

Trips & Experiences

We will adventure out on one field trip each week, these trips often will go along with our weekly theme or be something we know the children will love. Previously, we have visited places like Explore & More, Manor Lanes, Penn Dixie Fossils, and so much more.
